+EV advanced HUD for EV, Probabilities, and Implied Odds
+EV calculates EV (Expected Value) of Pre-Flop:
Raise/Fold
Raise/Call
+EV first calculates Fold Equity from probability that player will Fold-If-Raised. That Fold probability derives from the player's stats adjusted to relative stack size. +EV then completes second half of calculation by examining Player's Raise, Call, and Call Push Ranges against cards' Win% and Stack sizes. That portion evaluates EV if player Calls or Raises your Raise or Push. Final EV is sum of Fold Equity and Result if called times probability of each events occurrence. In ICM mode, +EV calculates using tournament equity. In Chip mode, it calculates using Chip gain/loss.

EV HUD Pocket Stage Analysis
- EV HUD displays on game table, when checked in options
- To move HUD, click within with right mouse button, drag to new position; then click second time with right mouse button
Note: Push and Call push portions of EV HUD removed in Version 3.55.0: superseded by NRT
- To run in ICM mode on SitAndGo's, type must be set to SNG, and Number of Entrants must be correctly specified
- ICM mode applies only to Final table of SNG's
- Chips mode applies to any table of any tournament
- Chip mode EV calculations are less conservative than ICM. Bracketed percentages in chip mode show expected growth to your stack.
For less risky plays like Raise/Fold it should be at least 3%. For risky plays like Raise/Call or Push, it should be 5 even 10%.
Version 3.36+ Adds Flop, Turn, River Analysis to EV HUD
To run HUD in ICM mode, tournament must be categorized as SNG
+EV Main Calculator
Note: Main EV calculator removed in Version 3.55.0. Replaced by Nash EV analysis in Re-Player
- +EV Main Calculator shows detailed calculation
- In Main calculator, you can manually adjust any of the values
Key Components of Calculator
- Ranges derive from player's style
- Ranges are adjusted up/down relative to players stack strength and betting position
- Adjusting slider moves all ranges up or down
- %CTR derives from the players Fold-To-Raise stat. It is the probability that the player will call a raise after he has voluntarily
put money in the pot
- %CTR is adjusted per betting position and stack strength
- In Blind position player's defend blind percentage is used to determine call range
- Aim is to determine Ranges, Probability of Call Raise (% Prob CR), Probability of Call Push (% Prob CP) for each player;
then to determine overall expected value from product of probabilities
Operational Note: When a new player joins the table, there is a one hand lag before his real-time is loaded:
PokerHound must first acquire the player's name from hand history, at end of first hand played, before it can detect the player's action in Chat. There is always a one hand lag before a new player's Real-Time action is included in calculations. This fact should be kept in mind especially for +EV calculations. If a new player bets out on the first hand after joining the table, his bet for that hand will not be included in the +EV calculation.
Note: A future enhancement may allow you to switch grouping patterns assigned to ranges.
